Will time heal?
Does time heal?
Lately I have been thinking about this a lot.
When you get hurt either by another person or a situation in life most times at least one person will say “the time will heal”!
But does it?
Today let’s have a deep talk and talk about all things time and healing....
Do I think time will heal?
Personally I don’t think time heals fully.
Yes in time you learn to live with it and you kinda forget about what happened.
It does get easier.
But you never truly forget, it just goes to the back of your mind and stays there until something happens that sparks that memory and all that hurt rushes back.
This time, it could be a year after the actual event, 10 years after the event but it still hurts not as much as originally and not as long but it still does.
What does “time will heal” mean?
If you google what the definition of “time will heal” is it says that feelings of sadness, disappointment, and hurt gradually go away as time passes.
It’s true it how as time passes all that sadness, hurt will go away but like I said above I don’t think it fully goes away.
When a situation occurs that triggers all that memory to come back it still hurts and can bring a tear to your eye.
Instead of “time will heal” I feel like it’s more accurate that “in time it will get better even if it doesn’t heal it’ll get better”.
We all need something to look forward to when we are sad or hurt. So when someone reassures us that in time it will heal we hold onto that.
