Day in a life of a college student online



I think we can all agree that’s 2020 is putting us out of our comfort zones, changing many things and we have missed out on stuff and of course, experienced new stuff that we didn't even think we would...

I’m a freshman in university. Yay!

This means I missed out on graduation and a “proper” first year of college. Not so Yay!


My first experience of the university- social and academical have been through zoom and prerecorded lectures. It required some getting used to. (That is a big change!)


So for today’s blog, I want to show you my somewhat busy day in the life of a university student who is completely online... (yay!!!)



Morning...


On a busy day, I wake up at 8:30am. ugh... it seems so early for me!!!


I’m not gonna lie, it takes me like 45 minutes to get out of bed (like right now it’s 9:07 and I’m still in bed, oops). 


After I get up, I make my way to the bathroom where I take a shower and brush my teeth. (Basic stuff I know haha) 


I then get dressed into something comfortable... (a blog about clothing for online classes will be posted soon, yay) or stay in pyjamas depending on my mood, haha. 


Make my bed! Obviously!


And head to the kitchen for breakfast, yum!


Drink some tea or coffee (depending on my mood once again but I am a tea person so 6/7 times a week I drink tea). 


After I’m done with all that fun stuff I head back to my room to start school...

 


Schoolwork...


So this is definitely the funner part! Duh!


We get started on the school work. 


SO EXCITING!


Today I had a few prerecorded lectures, a live one and a few assignments to get done. 


I started with my prerecorded lectures, took notes into my copy and then started one of the assignments to do with this subject. 


To do all of that it took me roughly 2-3 hours with a few breaks in between. 


Of course, we need breaks!


My friend recommended this language event which I decided to register for... so I ended up going to a talk about learning vocabulary. 


I love learning languages and right now in college I’m learning German... any other German speakers here???


I then had to do some maths homework assignments... which were actually kinda fun...


Anyone else finds maths fun? Haha! Nope just me? Okay...




After school...


At around 4-5pm I turn off my laptop and take finish school. FINALLY!


I think it’s important to have specific times for doing work and taking a break. 


So what I do know is I get dinner. YUM!


Relax by taking a shower or a bath (depending on my mood AGAIN haha). 


Then I just go to bed and watch something on Netflix or YouTube. 


Recently I’ve watched Julie and the Phantoms!!!


Yes, I’m in the Charlie Gillespie hype as well haha. He’s literally perfect!


Of course, we can’t forget Owen Joyer though!


I’ve always watched Dash and Lily (I wrote a post about it on Instagram so check it out). 


And right now I’m watching Sister Sister, as well as Ashley Garcia!


I’ll do a blog post about tv shows and movies that I love soon!!!


And a little rant about my celebrity crushes????! 


I also try and read a book. 


Right now I AM STILL READING PRIDE AND PREJUDICE!!!


If you’ve been following my blog since it started I’m literally still on the same book, haha. 


After all that I’m usually very sleepy so I head off to sleep!!!



Conclusion 


So that pretty much sums up the life of a freshman college student online!!! Really fun, right?


Online lectures, assignments and tv. 


The perfect combo!


It is hard to focus and keep motivated but we will get through this! With the help of family and friends and well being easy on yourself!

  How to find your talent If you google what “talent” means it says that talent is a natural skill.  But a let’s be honest who knows what their “natural” skill is? Like yeah, some people do and that’s great but then others have no clue... You try and figure it out but there’s no use and when you can’t find that, it sucks.  Your confidence in yourself drops, you don’t think do yourself has worthy... Will time heal?

Does time heal? Lately I have been thinking about this a lot.  When you get hurt either by another person or a situation in life most times at least one person will say “the time will heal”! But does it? Today let’s have a deep talk and talk about all things time and healing.... Do I think time will heal? Personally I don’t think time heals fully.  Yes in time you learn to live with it and you kinda forget about what happened.  It does get easier.  But you never truly forget, it just goes to the back of your mind and stays there until something happens that sparks that memory and all that hurt rushes back.  This time, it could be a year after the actual event, 10 years after the event but it still hurts not as much as originally and not as long but it still does.   What does “time will heal” mean?
